I have this thing about making work time my me time as well. Maybe it’s because in order to do it all, I have to do a lot of “work” at night and so I feel this need to indulge a little. How might you ask? With chocolate! Is there any better way? Seriously?!? Actually, it’s a little more than that. I enjoy listening to my music… Whatever that may be. Sometimes it’s Christmas in August, broadway in the rain or piano on a particularly long day. Today it’s Corinne Bailey Rae’s, ‘Put Your Record On’. I actually do this a lot, I choose the soundtrack that best fits the personality of the client I’m working to process or the mood I want to create. As soon as I started going through these images of Lisa Haagen, this song immediately came to mind!
And oh her voice!! Lisa is young and ready to take on the world. Ahhh youth. It’s the one time in our lives where we will be completely justified to celebrate exactly who we are at this stage in the game. And this… is her! She sang while we photographed and it was angelic! Which only made these lyrics that much more meaningful!
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.
When you gonna realise, that you don’t even have to try any longer?
Do what you want to.
Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,Just go ahead, let your hair down.
Oh, you’re gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.
