Meet the Team

I thought it would be fun to introduce you to each of the lovely minds behind Leah Remillet Photography. As any owner of a small business knows, you have to wear a lot of hats! Some are to small, some are to big and some fit just right! Well I’m a believer in only wearing what makes you look good and thank goodness I have wonderful ladies who were willing to try on a few of my hats and well… They make them look much better then me. I am so blessed to have them on my team!

I’m the girl behind the camera, I come up sometimes. But usually only when chocolate is presented. I fell in love with photography not because I knew anything about the workings of a camera but because I had an overwhelming desire to document life. I’ve thought a lot about this notion over the years and I believe it comes from this… I have one image of my family as a family – mom, dad, two daughters. Our smiles are big, our faces are bright, life felt good. One month later my parents split up and that happiness that I though I had was gone, except for that photograph. Although I do not wish those circumstances on anyone I have learned that life changes, children grow up and despite all our prayers tragedy can strike. Photographs document our life’s journey, the love tears and joy. It is through photography that our stories can be told. I hope you will allow me the pleasure of telling your story. Email me today to schedule a session!

Samantha Sherman - I loved your comment about your one family photo. It reminds me about my obsession with photos. When I was 14 my mother couldn’t pay for the ministorage unit that contained all of our Christmas ornaments and pictures. The only pictures I have of me as a baby are the same 2 that I’ve seen all my life, and I’m almost a year in the pictures. When I was pregnant with my second baby, my grandmother found a box in the attic, which contained newborn pictures. It was then that I realized that I was born with hair, lots of dark hair. I was bawling like a baby. When Sydney was born we came home with about 200 pictures :)
