Where you go… I go.

I had all three of mine running circles around me at the grocery store.  It was one of those days where I have no idea how it happened but I’m pretty sure they must have each drank a gallon of Kool-aid or perhaps they were just taking spoonfuls of sugar right out of the jar? Whatever the reason it was obvious that I was playing with fire and when the meltdowns ensued, I’d be the one getting burned. All I could think was get in and get out before catastrophe happens. It seemed like a good enough plan although how could I forget the one obvious flaw? Me? Did I not remember Thanksgiving a couple years back? Everyone was busily working at preparing food, someone needed to go pickup a last minute ingredient and I gladly volunteered to get out of the house for a few minutes. As I turned the ignition I thought about my appearance and than quickly chastised myself… And besides, I wasn’t going to run into anyone at 9 am Thanksgiving Morning in some aisle of the grocery store. Almost right. It wasn’t an aisle, it was the parking lot. There in front of me, a friends who I hadn’t seen since high school looking nicely put together and adorable. While me on the other side, I was donning sweats with my unbrushed hair in a ponytail and not one stitch of makeup. It was a far cry from a lovely sight.

And so of course it would go without saying that I would run into someone I know again. I didn’t even recognize her with her gorgeous new hair-cut. She had just finished working out and still looked fantastic, so unfair. While I stood looking frazzled and perplexed as to how I had gotten here and what I was supposed to be doing.

While I’ll admit that I’d much rather run into people when I’m put together and not feeling like I’m trying to save my last battleship, I was still excited to see one of my favorite little guys (who I might add just sat there in the cart being wonderfully pleasant).

I met ‘W’ when he was just a little guy and have loved getting to capture the milestones throughout his first year. There is something really special about this little that leaves me smitten every time! I can’t believe how big he’s gotten, now he’s walking! Kyle suggested a fantastic little spot that I’d never been to before. It was great and I even took my kids back to play there today – they loved it! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. Next time bed sheets and treats… lot’s of treats!:)

Look how great he’s doing with those feet! And so proud of himself too! And don’t you just love his sweet T. Mommy has him style’n!

I absolutely love this series! It’s so genuine to real life. Such happy perfect little moments that capture a special time in this families life. These are my favorite types of shots because they tell a story of an age that will always be remembered now!
